Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling, pulled and tested.

Floor, ceiling, riser and backbone cabling for offices, warehouses and data halls. Olympus Networks pulls, dresses, terminates and channel tests every run to Cat6 or Cat6a spec, then hands over a folder of Fluke results so you have certified proof every outlet passed.

What you get on every structured cabling job.

Scope scales with the site, but these are the things Olympus Networks does as standard on any structured cabling job.

01 / 06

Cat6 and Cat6a runs

Solid-core copper pulled to data outlets, dressed through containment and terminated on keystones or patch panels. Cable lengths kept inside the 90 metre permanent link limit.

02 / 06

Channel and permanent link testing

Every run Fluke tested for wiremap, length, insertion loss, return loss and NEXT. Fails are re-terminated and re-tested before sign-off, never patched over.

03 / 06

Labelling and ID scheme

Both ends labelled to a consistent ID scheme that matches the patch panel and the floor box, so a fault traces in seconds rather than a morning.

04 / 06

Cable management and dressing

Bundles combed, tied and run in straight lines through tray and basket. Service loops left at both ends so the install can be moved or extended later.

05 / 06

Outlet and floor box termination

RJ45 keystones, faceplates and floor boxes fitted flush and tested live. Voice, data and PoE outlets kept clearly separated on the plan.

06 / 06

Signed test report

A PDF pack of every Fluke result handed over with the invoice, suitable for a building handover file or a landlord fit-out sign-off.

Frequently asked

Common questions, plainly answered.

What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6a?

Both carry gigabit comfortably. Cat6a is built for sustained 10 gigabit over the full 100 metre channel and has tighter screening against crosstalk. For new fit-outs and data halls we usually recommend Cat6a so the cabling outlasts the kit plugged into it.

Do you certify the cabling?

Yes. Every link is Fluke tested and you get a PDF report showing wiremap, length, insertion loss, return loss and NEXT for each outlet. That report is what a main contractor or building control will ask for at handover.

How many outlets can you do in a day?

It depends on cable route and height, but a two-person team will typically pull, terminate and test 20 to 40 outlets a day on an open-plan floor. We will give you a realistic programme before we start.

Can you work out of hours?

Yes. A lot of office cabling is done over a weekend or in the evening so the floor is clear and nobody is working under a ladder. We price out-of-hours work up front, no surprises.

Do you supply the cable and outlets, or do we?

Either. We can supply and install everything to spec, or install client-supplied materials. If you want a particular brand of panel or outlet, tell us at quote stage.
